Posting Consistently

Posting consistently may sound exhausting, especially when you’re the only person managing your businesses account, but there are ways to make it easier on you. Our best tip is to create a bunch of posts at one time and schedule them out over the week. This will help you manage your time better so you don’t find yourself spending hours each week trying to figure out what to post. Planning ahead of time will also give you the opportunity to plan out a look and feel for your page and your businesses brand.

Post on Time

If you’re running a business page or an influencer page, you’ll have access to Insights. If you scroll to the bottom of the Insights page, you’ll see follower activity for the day, this will give you a feel for when your audience is most active on any day. Use this information to help schedule out the times for each post.  A simple change of when you post can help you reach a larger audience.

Tag Location

Tagging your location will not only help people find your place of business, it will help your audience find your page and ultimately boost engagement. The little location indicator above your picture is clickable and your audience can use it to view where your business is on a map.

Check Out What Hashtags Others are Using

From dog blogs to a small-town local produce store, you can pretty much find any sort of business on Instagram. Find your competitors or partners on Instagram and see what hashtags they are using to gain exposure. Be sure to keep an eye on your analytics to see what hashtags are working for you!

Talk to People & Build Community

Build a community! For a small business or influencer, it’s VITAL to build a community. Engagement drives Instagram and engaging with your audience is a definite key to success. Don’t be too shy to comment on other users’ posts and engage in dialogue with local businesses or pages that are similar to yours. P.S. Do NOT sound robotic. Be personable and people are more willing to engage.
